About Me

Alicia Anthony was raised in the small town of London, Ohio and now works as an elementary school literacy specialist for her alma mater. After a brief stint as a theatre major at the University of Southern California, she returned home to Ohio to complete a B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University.

Upon graduation she spent some time as a media coordinator for an advertising agency before setting out to find her niche. Alicia explored options ranging from car sales associate to modeling talent scout, finally settling in as a substitute teacher. Alicia returned to school and obtained a Master of Education in Literacy Instruction from Ashland University and began teaching full-time.

She has since returned to school to pursue another dream, and is completing her final semester of Spalding University’s Master of Fine Arts in Writing program. She is a member of Romance Writers of America (Central Ohio Fiction Writers and Kiss of Death chapters), International Thriller Writers, Sisters in Crime (SiC Columbus Ohio chapter), and Mystery Writers of America, as well as other local writing cooperatives.

She lives in Jeffersonville, Ohio with her ever-tolerant husband, Doug, and amazing daughter, Jillian. In her free time she can be found at the local movie theatre, curled up on the sofa with a good book, or in the barn taking care of the family’s three horses, nine chickens, six cats, and two dogs.

Alicia is currently at work on her next novel.

  2. You’re a writer and teacher too? Wooowee! How much easier it must be for you to write posts! Very much envy ya, Alicia! Enjoy your weekend!

    • I’m not sure if being a teacher helps or hinders me, but regardless, I do enjoy it. It sounds like you’ve been busy with lots of essays yourself. Hope it’s sunny in your neck of the woods. Thanks for the comment, sf!!
